Kenneth William Brown, the Last Dambuster

Ken Brown

Ken Brown
1920 - 2002

On the night of May 16, 1943 nineteen Lancaster bombers took off from the grass airstrip of RAF Scampton and flew into legend. The pilot of Lancaster "AJ-F" for Freddy was my father, then Flight Sgt. Kenneth William Brown. On that night, my dad flew into history on what became known as "The Dambuster Raid". He became one of the most celebrated Canadian war heroes to date.

On the evening of December 23, 2002 dad passed away. What I have experienced and learned about my father has formed much of my template for courage, honor and integrity. This portion of our web site is dedicated to the memory of Squadron Leader K.W. Brown in hopes that those who read it will be inspired always to pursue "doing the right thing" no matter what the cost.
